About The Ingredients in Your Tea
Oat Straw, among so many of its other positive and healthful benefits, is known to help to expel phlegm, and muscus buildup in lungs and bronchial tubes.
Mullein, a member of the snapdragon family, is an expectorant that loosens mucus, calms inflammation, eases throat spasms and tightness, and quiets coughs. Once THE go-to herbal remedy (before antibiotics), mullein was used to treat pneumonia, whooping cough, and tuberculosis. These days, more commonly, mullein is employed to help with allergies, sore throat, and tonsillitis.
Stinging Nettle, long considered a lung tonic, is used to treat asthma, mucus conditions, and chronic coughs.
Licorice root has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of ailments, to include respitory conditions. Its plant compounds have potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects.
And lastly cinnamon, wonderful immune-boosting cinnamon. Such a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimocrobial wonder spice from the innerbark of evergreen trees in Sri Lanka, and India. Cinnamon's main active component, cinnamaldehyde, is beneficial in treating various kinds of infection. Cinnamon contains minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, phosphorous, and vitamins C, K, A, and folate.
