"Hank the Tank" Hand Felted Alpaca Fiber Sculpture Bear

This hand-felted, aplaca fiber, bear, reminds us of our own, famous in her own right, Lake Tahoe, California bear, "Hank the Tank"

"Hank the Tank', a 500-pound American black bear, gained much reknown for his (really her) repeated interactions with humans in the Lake Tahoe area.

Setting off a national debate regarding human-wildlife conflict, and bear management in polulated areas.

After much heated conversation, and calls to euthanize Hank, The California Department of Wildlife, successfully relocated the black bear, to a 230-acre Colorado sanctuary.

Hank's three cubs were sent to a rehab facility in Sonoma County, California, where they will learn how to live in the wild, and eventually be released.

All's well that ends well. We love a good success story.
