Black-Capped Chickadee 1930’s Flume Birdhouse
$69.00
Specifically designed for the Black-Capped Chickadee Bird—you know the one that often sounds like it’s saying “cheeseburger,” or “hey sweetie?” This locally hand-crafted birdhouse is made out of reclaimed timbers from an old WPA 1930’s flume outside of Nevada City. The old-growth redwood has tons of character and offers a safe, welcoming haven for one of our most beloved native birds. To attract chickadees, mount this house 5 to 15 feet off the ground, ideally on a tree trunk or side of your house, facing away from prevailing winds. Pre-drilled screw holes make it easy to hang, and the roof is removable for clean-out by removing the four screws that hold it in place. Give a chickadee a home of their own, and you just might hear it calling out its lunch order right from your back yard.
Entrance is 1.25” Ø; 18” x 8” x 8”
